BBC Alba's 'An Là' Tonight at 8pm ~ Old Shops of Stornoway Event

Last night, Tasglann nan Eilean Siar (Hebridean Archives) co-hosted an event with Stornoway Historical Society in Stornoway library to launch the Old Shops of Stornoway exhibition that has recently been installed in the library foyer by the Tasglann team.  Norrie Macgregor and Malcolm MacDonald were joined by Sandy Matheson for what proved to be a nostalgic, informative and at times hilarious, evening!

BBC Alba were also in attendance and images and an interview with Norrie should feature on An Là tonight at 8pm so do tune in!

See photos and find out more at the Tasglann's blog at http://bit.ly/tasglann and take a look around to see what else we've been up to!

The exhibition panels can be viewed in the library entrance so do pop in and have a look.  We also set up a small display of old shops artefacts and records in the Library window which will only be there till Monday so make sure to have a peek over the weekend!
