Festivals & Events

Over the last twelve months we listed around 700 events, exhibitions, gatherings and activities which took place on our inhabited islands. All drew on the drive, skills and talent of people living on the islands and elsewhere and provided much more than a glimpse of island culture and heritage. This promotion of events continues into the Year of Creative Scotland 2012.

This is the ONLY website to provide comprehensive listings of events across all of Scotland's Islands - a one-stop shop to what's on.

All island events will appear on this page. Events on the mainland and elsewhere which celebrate the islands and their culture will appear on the "non-islands" page which you can navigate to via the About button above.

Have a good look through the listings below. You can search from any page on the website - see just how many music events are planned in Orkney, say in June, narrow it down to a single island or get really ambitious and seek out all the heritage projects to visit in one fabulous island hopping holiday. You can create a Pdf of your choices in "My favourites" and use the links on the travel page to build an itinerary. The link to VisitScotland's website will help you find suitable accommodation.

Don't hold back. There's a huge range of events on offer to cater for all age-groups and interests.

We add events as soon as we get details from organisers so if you don't find what you're looking for just now, please come and take another look soon or get in touch and we will be happy to help - info@scotlandsislands.com

Your search has found no festivals or events, please try again.
